CHLOE AND JAMES | YANDINA STATION WEDDING | SUNSHINE COAST HINTERLAND

There are some venues you walk into for the first time and just know. Yandina Station was one of those for me.

Chloe and James got married at one of the Sunshine Coast's most iconic properties — and from the moment I arrived, the day had this easy, warm energy that never let up. Established in 1853, Yandina Station is a luxury country estate and working cattle property that somehow manages to feel both grand and completely welcoming at the same time. Nestled among eucalyptus and Moreton Bay Fig trees with sweeping views across 14 acres of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, it's the kind of place where the setting does half the work — and the other half is all heart.

Now, Chloe and James will be the first to tell you — they are not people who usually pose for photos. And honestly? That's my favourite kind of couple to work with. By the end of the day Chloe said it felt completely natural, that they were never made to feel awkward or staged, and that they could just enjoy themselves and each other. That right there is everything I'm working towards on a wedding day.

Finding the right photographer and videographer is one of the most stressful parts of wedding planning — Chloe mentioned that from the moment they met face to face, everything just flowed. Jordan the videographer and I worked together throughout and having that seamless team around them meant Chloe and James could just be present for every moment. The kids being included throughout the photos and video made looking back on everything even more special — and I love that that's what they noticed.

This was my first time shooting at Yandina Station and I left absolutely wanting to come back. The property gives you so much to work with — ceremony locations ranging from the lawn with Mount Coolum as a backdrop to the lakeside dock, golden light filtering through the trees at every turn, and that iconic Dairy Barn waiting for the reception. Rustic timber beams, modern floral decorations, hinterland scenery — it photographs beautifully from every single angle.

The florals from Mondo Floral Designs were absolutely stunning — lush, romantic arrangements that sat perfectly against the natural textures of the property. Emma Homewood from Ceremonies by Emma ran a ceremony that felt deeply personal and genuinely moving, and Cassidy Mackie kept the energy high all the way through to the last song of the night. Hair by Nola and Lala's Makeup by Lauren had Chloe and the girls looking incredible from start to finish.

The Dairy Barn reception was one of those rooms that just hums with good energy — up to 180 guests, fine dining, ambient lighting, laughter and connection filling every corner. Watching Chloe and James on the dance floor surrounded by their favourite people was a reminder of exactly why I do this job.

Yandina Station sits just 15 minutes from Coolum Beach and 30 minutes from Noosa — close enough to be convenient, far enough from the noise to feel like a genuine escape. If you're dreaming of a Sunshine Coast wedding with that perfect blend of rustic charm and countryside elegance, this venue deserves to be at the very top of your list.

Chloe and James — thank you for having me along for the ride, and for the kind words afterwards. This one was truly special.
